In the shot where he gets Rey into an arm lock, the blade in the guard's left hand vanishes from the scene completely, in the middle of a shot. The hand that held the weapon is obscured by Rey's body at the point Luke never had proper Jedi training. They didn’t even want to train his dad because he was too old at age 9, and even then, Anakin trained for a decade to get where he was and he still failed.
