I'm having an issue where my Victoria 3 is behaving very oddly with save games. When I load into the game, it says I have no games to load or continue from for about 30 seconds. After that time, if I click on the load game button, it goes to the screen where my saves should be, but it's completely empty. After another 2 minutes or so, my games Recently I got a new Pc and upon trying to play any version of Victoria 3 the game simply wouldn't get past the initializing game segment of game start up and the game is unplayable Things I've tried: Verifying Game Files - Reinstalling Game Normally - Full Reinstalling the Game by clearing every file related to it in both game files and Phasmophobia. the game is stuck on initializing screen. This might help, it seems the game now needs to be online at all times, if you block the game or your internet goes off the game will stay on "Initialising" turn your internet back on and it goes though.. so check your firewall settings that the game is not being blocked

I went to use printer and noticed that the touchscreen was frozen. I tried rebooting and the screen got stuck (frozen) on the butterfly logo initializing screen. I know the only supported Linux is Ubuntu, I Vanilla CK3 works fine, EK2 can’t get past initializing game? It takes a while to load. Like 15 to 20 minutes. I closed the game and restarted it and it worked for me. Took a while to load, but it worked. If you’re using steam, try unsubscribing from the mod and then re-subscribing. Also starting the game through the launcher or the local files did not change anything Yep - This issue comes from a corrupt cache during install. You'll need to clear the cache folder (s) and restart the game. There's one in the documents/paradox interactive folder as well as on in your steamapps game folder (under map) #7.
