Shannara should never have gone to MTV. I think with a bigger network, the show could have unleashed it's full potential. The actors for the MTV series were good, and if the show was on a more resourceful network, their acting would have been elavated Season 2 is a very loose adaptation of Books 3 (The Wishsong of Shannara) and pieces of Book 1 (The Sword of Shannara) of the original Shannara trilogy, with the following peculiarities.
